Reminder: Call for Nominations to EMWA Executive Committee
Dear EMWA Member,
I hope you are well. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the forthcoming elections for positions on the Executive Committee. The positions are: Vice-President, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer and Honorary Secretary.
To be eligible for the positions, candidates must be paid-up EMWA members, and must have attended at least one spring conference in the previous three years. In addition, specifically for each role:
- Vice-President: Must have either served on the EC previously or served EMWA in another official capacity in the last three years (e.g. workshop leader, or on a subcommittee).
- Treasurer: no other requirements
- Public Relations Officer: no other requirements
- Honorary Secretary: no other requirements
Please see the link to the documents which give the job descriptions for individual positions. If you would like to apply, please provide a candidate statement of up to 400 words, indicating the position you are interested in, and include a picture of yourself embedded into the Word document, to email@example.com by 15th January 2021. Voting details will be sent out electronically in April 2021. The successful candidates will be notified before the Annual General Meeting which will take place at the EMWA Spring Conference in May 2021.
In addition, the EC are looking for volunteers who can help support some of the current committee members in their roles, so if there are other ways you would like to get involved with EMWA, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
