Nevertheless, we advise you to participate, because this will enable you to ask questions and contribute to an active discussion. For the recorded webinars we encourage you to send us any questions you may have on the topic by the date indicated and they will be answered in the recording.

Please email the webinar team with any questions or accessibility concerns.

Note: We reserve the right to cancel a webinar if needed, although we will make all effort to avoid it. Also, we make every effort to ensure we have a stable internet connection to run EMWA webinars, but it is not possible to provide a 100% stable connection. If for any reason, the presentation has to be cancelled by the organizer, a notification email will be sent as soon as possible.

Oral presentations: skills to help you survive or even shine!
John Dixon
Giving an oral presentation is a daunting prospect for some. Even the more confident can find presenting a difficult skill to master. However, we must all stand and deliver at some stage, whether to share ideas informally with colleagues or help pitch for a new project to a major company. We discuss how to deal with nerves, rehearse and keep to time, use our voice and body language, make a presentation have impact, and deal with questions and difficult people. Join us to voice your views, ask questions or just listen. We hope to persuade you that delivering an oral presentation can be an enjoyable and worthwhile opportunity and not an ordeal to hide from!

Nutrition basics
Carolina Rojido
Since medicine and nutrition are closely intertwined, medical writers may be asked to write about nutrition. However, because we all eat, we are all experts about it in a way, but this doesn't mean we are well versed in the science. Additionally, we often receive conflicting information about nutrients, diets, research results, etc. This webinar aims to clarify basic facts that will prove useful professionally and personally.
