We need you for your EMWA Executive Committee!
Dear EMWA Member,
I hope you are well. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the forthcoming elections for positions on the Executive Committee (Executive Committee Roles and Responsibilities). The positions are: Vice-President, Education Officer, and Conference Director.
If you would like to apply for any of the roles (Vice-President, Education Officer, and Conference Director), please provide a candidate statement of up to 400 words, indicating the position you are interested in, and include a picture of yourself embedded into the Word document, to info@emwa.org by 15th January 2022. Voting details will be sent out electronically in April 2022.
To be eligible for the positions, candidates must be paid-up EMWA members and must have attended at least one spring conference (including virtual attendance) in the previous three years. In addition, specifically for each role:
Vice-President (Job description – Vice-President): must have either served on the EC previously or served EMWA in another official capacity in the last three years (e.g., workshop leader or on a subcommittee).
Education Officer (Job description – Education Officer): must have served on the EMWA Professional Development Committee (EPDC) for at least 12 months, and must be an active EMWA workshop leader (i.e., must have presented an EMWA Professional Development Programme [EPDP] workshop at 2 conferences within the last 3 years).
Conference Director (Job description – Conference Director): the Conference Director should have attended at least one Spring and one Autumn conference. Ideally, the candidate should be a member of the Conference Steering Committee, but this is not a pre-requisite.
We would like to inform you that we will be transitioning to the appointment of a new Website Manager (the Website Manager and the EMWA Journal Editor are both appointed positions and are members of the Executive Committee).
The successful candidates will be notified before the Annual General Meeting, which will take place at the EMWA Spring Conference in May 2022.
