REMINDER: Could you be a candidate for the next EMWA Executive Committee?

Dear EMWA Member,

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the forthcoming elections for positions in the Executive Committee (EC). The positions are: Vice-President, Education Officer and Conference Director. We welcome applications from any EMWA members who meet the eligibility criteria set out below.

To be eligible for the positions, candidates must be paid-up EMWA members, and must have attended at least one spring conference in the previous three years. In addition, specifically for each role:

  • Vice-President: must have either served on the EC previously or served EMWA in another official capacity in the previous three years (e.g. workshop leader, or on a subcommittee).
  • Education Officer: must have served on the EMWA Professional Development Committee for at least 12 months, and must be an active EMWA workshop leader (i.e. must have presented an EMWA Professional Development Programme workshop at 2 conferences within the last 3 years).
  • Conference Director: no additional requirements.

Please follow this link to the Executive Committee page to view the job descriptions for individual positions. If you would like to apply, please provide a candidate statement, up to 400 words, indicating the position you are interested in, and include a picture of yourself embedded into the Word document, to info@emwa.org by 11 February 2020.

Voting details will be sent out electronically in April 2020. The successful candidates will be notified before the Annual General Meeting which will take place at the EMWA Spring Conference in Prague in May 2020.

If you have any items for the AGM agenda, please forward details to info@emwa.org by 11 February 2020.

In addition, the EC are looking for volunteers who can help support some of the present committee members in their roles, so if there are other ways you would like to get involved with EMWA, please feel free to contact us at info@emwa.org.

Best regards,
Claire Harmer,
EMWA Honorary Secretary
