33rd EMWA Conference
03 – 04 November 2011
Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum

Dear EMWA colleagues
It is with pleasure that we present the programme for the 33rd EMWA Conference, which will be held in London on 3-4 November
2011.
EMWA’s autumn meetings focus on training, and this year we offer a
choice of 24 different workshops from the EMWA Professional
Development Programme. There is something for everyone, whether your
interests are in regulatory writing, medical communications,
drug development or medical science. Or perhaps you want to improve your
project management, sharpen your writing skills or learn
more about marketing? Many of the workshops will also be of interest to
people working in areas outside of, but overlapping with,
medical writing – translations, medical publishing, outcomes research
and clinical research, to name but a few.
EMWA workshops are run by experts in their fields with hands-on
experience of the subjects they teach. The emphasis is on practical
learning that will help participants in their day-to-day work. Most
workshops include interactive in-class exercises, and opportunities for
in-depth discussion with the workshop leader and your fellow classmates.
There are also ample networking opportunities outside of the
classroom.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the workshop leaders
for once again sharing their expertise so freely, and all those
who have worked so hard behind the scenes to make the conference happen.
Whether you are an established EMWA member or are considering joining us for the first time, we look forward to meeting you in
London and to learning from each other.
