EMWA is the European Medical Writers Association. It supports medical writers and medical editors through training and networking opportunities. EMWA is a great place to pick up the skills needed to broaden your horizons as a medical writer. EMWA's aim is to provide educational and social networking opportunities for its members..

EMWA offers continuing education and professional training for medical communicators through the comprehensive EMWA Professional Development Programme. This programme offers a broad variety of medical writing courses that cover topics including: basic writing skills, guidelines specific for the pharmaceutical industry, and accounting for freelancers. This training is offered at EMWA's Spring and Autumn conferences that draw medical writers to a different European location twice every year.

This website offers access to past issues of EMWA's journal, The Write Stuff (TWS), as well as access to our freelancer and company listings and a jobs page advertising vacancies for both freelance and in-house medical writers and editors.

Certain areas of the EMWA website have restricted access. These member-only sections are only accessible if you become a member of EMWA. If you are already a member, click on the "Register" link on the top right of this page and follow the instructions to submit a request for website access. The generic username and password that you used to access to the members-only section of the old website is no longer valid. All members need to re-register for access. If you would like to become a member of EMWA, please click here.
