EMWA has been growing rapidly over
the past few years and we expect this growth to continue into the
future. After much consideration, the executive committee (EC) has
decided it is time to move our Head Office support to a larger
organisation that will have the resources to provide the services
needed to meet our future administrative requirements. Over the course
of the next 2-3 months, Head Office services will be migrated to our
new provider, MCI, a pan-European association headquartered in
Switzerland with offices in many European cities. EMWA will be
supported by a dedicated office located in Petersfield, UK. We will
keep members informed of new names and contact details in the course of
the transition.
MCI has over 30 years of experience
in organization management, including administration of education
programmes, organization of conferences and financial support
services. After a thorough search of available service providers, the
EC is confident that MCI will provide efficient, professional, and
cost-effective support ideally suited to EMWA’s needs.
We wish to thank Nancy Barkan and her
team for their much appreciated hard work, enthusiasm and dedication to
EMWA over the past five years, which helped EMWA to become the vibrant
association that it is now, as experienced in Barcelona by all of you
who attended the conference. The change to MCI does not detract from
our gratitude for the support provided by Nancy's team.
